Our Officers for the 2024-2025 Academic Year!

President Gracie Jones

AIChE has been a meaningful part of my life for many years now, and I’m deeply grateful for the friendships, professional opportunities, and connections it has provided. I’m honored to have been elected as President and to serve alongside such a bright and driven board this year. I look forward to building on the outstanding work of our predecessors as we continue to foster an inclusive community and provide aspiring chemical engineers with the social and professional foundations needed to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

Vice President Ibrahim Elfaki

I help organize career forum, plant tours, and whatever the president needs extra help with. I hope to have multiple plant tours this year and have more overall engagement as an org!!!

Secretary Aliyah Brown

As secretary, I take meeting minutes, write the newsletter, and design AIChE’s merch. My main goal is staying organized and ensuring everything within AIChE goes according to plan.

Treasurer Alex Milliken

I’m the treasurer! I’m helping plan career forum, creating the budget, and plan on helping out at community service events!

Professional Development Chair Matt Milliken

I am VT AIChE's Professional Development Chair. I am looking to plan career fair prep events such as mock interviews, resume reviews, and professional development advising hours. I also want to create a weekly professional development advising minute!

Interchapter Relations Chair Ryan Smith

My job is to connect with other chapters of AIChE around the country and globe! We hope to have in-person events with local colleges and online events with school further away. This is a chance to meet other ambitious Chemical Engineering students to both have fun and network.

Tutoring Chair Binh Doan

My role is the tutoring chair! I'm expected to run the tutoring program with the AIChE, hosting weekly tutoring sessions in order to help underclassmen succeed in their classes and curriculum. Part of this includes coordinating with the President to schedule tutoring sessions, finding volunteer tutors to help out, and working closely with professors, along with any other duties that come with being on the E-Board. This year, I plan to run weekly tutoring sessions twice a week and advertise it to as many chemical engineers as possible!

Mentorship Chair Tristan Nienaber

Tristan will be leading and organizing 5-6 mentorship events each semester to create connections between underclassmen and upperclassmen. He will also be leading the Alumni Mentorship Program. He is a Senior set to graduate with a double major in Chemistry this Spring! Tristan grew up in the Seattle area and is excited to be on the E-board!

Social Chair Will Eisenhauer

So excited to be back on E-board serving as social chair! I'm committed to coordinating fun events for ChEs to step away from their everyday classes. Stay tuned for a hike to kick the fall semester off, movie nights, and maybe even a RecSports class!

Committee Chair Lillianna Harner

I keep the AICHE website updated. I plan to collaborate with other ChemE groups to provide everyone with opportunities people might find interesting!
