What is Chem-E-Car?

The 2022 Chem-E-Car competing in Nationals

Virginia Tech’s Chem-E-Car team is a chemical engineering design team where ChemE students of all classes work together to make a small box-sized car powered and controlled by chemical reactions to compete in regional, national, and international competitions host by AIChE. The team is comprised of three sub-teams: Battery, Controls, and Chemistry. Each team focuses on a different aspect of designing and testing the functionality of the car.
